Dr. Brian Shah specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is also a dual degreed oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Licensed as both a physician and dentist, Dr. Shah has unique and vast training, which allow him to expertly care for a wide variety of patients. Dr. Shah's primary clinical interest is orthognathics (corrective jaw surgery) and dental implantology. He has treated thousands of patients successfully with the newest and most advanced techniques in the field of dental implants in Chicago and is on the cutting-edge of implant dentistry and oral rehabilitation. Dr. Shah prides himself on being a good listener, which allows him to work closely with patients to develop a plan that is right for them.

Dr. Shah obtained his medical degree from Harvard University Medical School. He then completed his surgical residency training in general surgery, anesthesia, and oral and maxillofacial surgery at Harvard as well. He rotated through Massachusetts General Hospital, The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital and The Beth Israel Hospital. He received his dental degree at the Ohio State University and his BA in microbiology at Miami University in Ohio.

Additionally, all patients that come to see Dr. Shah, with his extensive training in anesthesia, are afforded the ability to have either sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the complexity of their treatment and their desired level of comfort.
