1,000 Year Old Teeth Prone to Same Gum Disease We are Today
Now this is interesting! Researchers studied the teeth and gums of 1,000 year-old skeletons in a medieval cemetery in Germany and found that the plaque on these sets of teeth actually “encased” the same types of bacteria that plague many mouths today. The researchers also said that they had decades worth of plaque on their teeth and didn’t brush their teeth often. Go figure! To learn more, check out this article.
